
Garden to Table – Sheridan – English
The Garden to Table classes have been temporarily suspended due to the coronavirus epidemic. New classes will resume in the early fall, 2020 or spring 2021 depending on when the risk of the virus infection subsides. You may complete the registration form below to be added to a wait list when classes resume.
Garden to Table is a comprehensive 6-week beginning gardening course that gives novice adult gardeners the tools they need to successfully grow a portion of their own food on a limited budget. It is a combined effort of the YCAP and the Oregon State University Extension Service.

Program Overview
- Covers basics of low-cost vegetable gardening
- Available in English or Spanish
- 12 hour course divided into sessions
- Open to adults and teenagers
- Offered for free at host sites that serve the community
- Taught by trained volunteer Master Gardener Educators
Course topics
Course topics include garden site and soil development, garden planning, planting, container gardening, caring for a growing garden, and harvesting and using garden bounty.
Raised Beds
Upon class completion, students who qualify may apply for a raised bed or containers for home use (through the Yamhill County Master
Gardener Association) or have a raised bed in a local Community Garden.
Registration
Classes have been postponed, by registering, your name will be entered on a wait list for the class. When plans for the class are finalized you will receive a notice and be asked to confirm your participation.
