A free 6-week beginning vegetable gardening course enabling gardeners to grow a portion of their food

    • 8:30-10 am Sat Feb 19 – Mar 19 & Apr 2
    • Low-cost vegetable gardening basics
    • Taught by volunteer Master Gardeners
    • Zoom classes & hands on sessions
    • Open to adults and teenagers
    • Priority for low income participants
    • Optional monthly summer meet-ups
    • Mentoring available through October

What’s Covered

Garden site planning, soils, compost & fertilizer, planting, watering & garden care, weeds and bugs, harvesting, and storing vegetables.

Garden Materials

Upon class completion, low income participants get seeds and plants plus a raised bed or containers with soil, or a Community Garden bed. Other participants may purchase at cost.

If you are not low income, you will be placed on a waitlist until 2 weeks before
the class begins when we will open remaining seats to all registrants.
